All the Bachelor degree programs are taught in Finnish and English. LUT Master‘s degree programs in English offer a wide range of opportunities for both Finnish and international students with a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of technology, engineering or business. The annual application period is usually December – January and studies start in autumn. Student selections are published end of March (March 18 in 2019).
In the field of technology, LUT offers eight Master's programs that are taught in English. These programs include a total of 15 different major possibilities and are targeted to both international and Finnish students with the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in the field in question.

LUT School of Business offers five Master's programs that are taught in English. These programs are targeted at both international and Finnish students with a Bachelor-level degree in business, or a Bachelor's degree from the University of Applied Sciences (tradenomi) or Russian Specialists degree in the field in question. The programs require two years of full time studying.
The Master's Programmes in Business include:

Language requirements
Consequently, students who have not completed a Bachelor‘s degree in English in an EU/EEA country or in Australia, Canada, New Zealand or in the USA must have obtained an approved English language qualification. Academic TOEFL 80 iBT/550 PBT; Academic IELTS 6.0; Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): grade A, B or C; PTE Academic score 54. University language certificates are not accepted.
All language test results must be sent to University Admissions Finland

Tuition Fee and Scholarships
If you are citizen of below regions, you are free to study in LUT.

  3. Switzerland
Students coming from non- EU region need to pay tuition fee.
Tuition fee - EUR 10 000 per academic year.
However there may be exempt to pay tuition fee for non-EU students in some cases. for more information click here. 
 Three category of scholarships available for non EU students.  
  • 50% Tuition Fee Scholarship: Covering for 50% of the tuition fee
  •  100% Tuition Fee Scholarship: Covering for 100% of the tuition fee
  • Full Scholarship: Covering for 100% of the tuition fees in a 2-year Master's Programme plus, the living costs for EUR 5 600,00 per year

Doctoral Studies at LUT
The doctoral programs of LUT Graduate School operate within the faculties of the university. The programs are carried out in cooperation with national and international doctoral programs.
After the Master‘s degree, graduates have the possibility to complete the postgraduate degrees of Licentiate of Science (Technology), Doctor of Science (Technology), Licentiate of Science (Economics and Business Administration), Doctor of Science (Economics and Business Administration) or Doctor of Philosophy at LUT.

How to apply for masters. 
  •  Application Period - December 03- January 23
You are eligible to apply 2 masters in technology and one business administration for one application period.  If you are applying only technology masters, you only need to submit one application. However when you are applying technology and business masters you have to submit 2 applications for both masters.  
  • Find out the application in this website and carefully fill the application.  
LUT official University website directs you to application website. You have to prepare your required documents before the submit application. Usually, required documents are,
  1. Degree certificate and Transcripts ( Original and certified copy are valid) 
  2. Language test results sheet
  3. copy of passport
  • However, if you completed your bachelor in countries such as Bangladesh, Cameroon, China, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Malaysia,Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania or Uganda you need to send hard copies of required documents and documents should be authenticated in properly.

  • After preliminary evaluation you need to face online interview.
  • Admission results will be released on 18 March (2018). 
  • Accept study place , pay union fee, pay tuition fee (applicable) 
  • Book accommodation( university will guide you)
  • Immediately apply resident permit ( may be needed more than 3 months due to long queue)
